I know no one cares, but I have to clarify, I have to have my geek moment.

Consoles suck.

Ay, I know I own a GameCube. But there's a difference between a GameCube and a console.

The GC takes a bunch of cartoon characters, ones that could belong on saturday morning TV, and makes true games out of them.

To speak of console-unique games...

The GameCube has Super Mario Sunshine, Star Fox Adventures, the Legend of Zelda, Earthbound, Donkey Kong... all of these series are very lighthearted.

The PS2 has GTA3, (until recently) the last billion Final Fantasy games, and a bunch of games with two companies and 'vs' in the title. Plus, the name of the game there is 'Import', so people are always talking about games with names like 'Suikoden'.

The great thing about the GC is that imports have actual English names.

The reason I bought a PlayStation was for Crash Bandicoot and Ape Escape. I'm interested in the platformers, the light-hearted games that could, again, belong on a Saturday morning TV show.

You can't really find that on a PlayStation2, unless it's multi-platform, or a port.

So I hate consoles as they are today. The GameCube is nothing but a toy, and I like it that way. PC Forever.
