I used to not hate US History. It used to be interesting. Maybe when I'm a famous game designer, I'll make a game about US history. Good idea, there. You can be a person and you have to make it to the presidency using whatever means are effective in your time period. Butt into current events. Shape and alter US history. You could start in 1840 and have to become president first by getting to be Mayor of town X and then governor of that state, or perhaps senator. You can run for office and apply policies and try to please your people. You can campaign and mudsling. You can apply taxes and take them away. And once you're in the presidency, your goal is to be immortalized by achievement, and not be killed. Your assassination risk is more likely if you're unpopular, but is stymied if you use security. And then you can manage the nation through wars, or initiate them indirectly, or whatever. There will be a timeline and you will have to alter it.

This is a great idea. I'm going to run with it.
