Religion, religion is bullshit. Organization leads to rituals which lead to community, and within that community, there's bound to be individual interpretations, but while these individuals could be relatively harmless in and of themselves, religion offers them the means to act upon them. When you get to extremist beliefs society's ills are caused. Worse, through tradition and ritual, religion becomes no more than tradition in itself and is a simplification for an idle mind on how to shape beliefs.

Conclusion: Religion is broken from the inside out. The fact that it is two millenia old helps. Old versus new always causes conflict yet the existence of old is likely always the cause.

I am a hardcore apathist until the day I die.

Note: This is not an insult to the religious, this is an insult to the currently outdated structure of religion which desperately needs updating in a global sense, lest religiously fueled conflict takes all over.
