High School is a hellhole.
Anyone who says they would like to go back to high school is a liar. If they say it was the best time of their life, they have had a terrible life. High school teachers are masochists. Why would you ever want to meet those unaffable teenagers?
The issue with High School is that when you enter, you're 14, and when you leave, you're 18. When I came into high school, I thought things like Online Forums, Matchbox Twenty and dudes named Bruce were good ideas. I farted around awkwardly around women for a year. Compare your mental image of a 14 year old with an 18 year old. Compare the kid who got a ride from his dad to school and took the bus home to the kid who parallel parks on Catalpa. Worlds apart. The problem is that via the fallacy of common interest, you're tossed into an awkward social situation. You're cursed with a plethora of people who used to be your friends, people who feel obligation or people who went downhill, people at other stages. You're locked into semi-groups with people who soon reveal themselves to either be horrible or just dislikable. You find yourself wishing you could be part of the other groups not aware that they are unmistakably going through the same things as you, and they have the same personal issues and while it seems to anyone that people are so alike, it seems that the forcedness of formed relationships at age 14 kills it.
