10. Robyn - Eponymous
Weird Foreign Charm and a Cocky Asskicking attitude.
9. The Go! Team - Thunder, Lightning, Strike
Bottle Rocket is the best song of anything.
8. Ben Folds - Songs for Silverman
It's not ironic, it's catchy.
7. The White Stripes - Get Behind Me Satan
Full of experiments, yes. But joyous experiments they are. I've been thinking about my doorbell - when you gonna ring it, when you gonna ring it?
6. LCD Soundsystem - Eponymous
It's like Moby with Balls.
5. Public Enemy - Power to the People and the Beats
It may be a Greatest Hits album, but man, it's a lot of pissed off music.
4. Sufjan Stevens - Illinois
It is a very good album about a very good state.
3. Kanye West - Late Registration
There are no bad songs on this album
2. Giant Drag - Hearts & Unicorns
Annie Hardy is the most engaging frontperson of any artist I've ever seen, and her weir sense of humor stays engrained in even the most serious song.
1. Troubled Hubble - Making Beds in a Burning House
From start to finish, this is the best album of the year by a long shot. Your basic two guitars bass and drums power pop, yet cogniscized to perfection.
