life is hard

there are a remarkable number of people who seem to still want to keep in touch with me but fail to do so. whenever they feel the need to converse with me it's always "i haven't seen you in so long!" followed by a brief, awkward conversation that ends in them having no interest in anything i have to say. so i've written these people off as just former friends, because i'm apt to abandon people who are no longer important to me. but they keep coming back, and i can't let go of them until they just let go of me. or commit to me. i don't care, just make up your damn mind.
