i ran into trouble today several times trying to rearrange my room for all my adapters and briefly compared it with my roommate's slightly more minimalist style

plugged in about my room there exists

-mp3 player
-nintendo ds
-nintendo wii
-computer
-cellular phone
-speakers
-external storage
-television
-refrigerator
-alarms
-lights

i wouldn't say i'm a gadget hound or a capitalist slave, though. no. i would say that these are largely either necessities (fridge, phone, and alarms) or means of delivering and decoding media for my perusal.

i have in fact started to see my media consumption as vital - something that is to be completed, as homework, work, or errands. i figure that if i am to be creative, i should have a basis of what does and does not work, and being connected into so much can bring ideas in the most peculiar fashions.

trouble is, many of those ideas tend to be the oddball juxtapositions that are so internet-chic right now, because they're dependent on media-savvy individuals. well, go deeper than that. shall find.
