it is a day where everyone has to pay you undue attention, more than you usually get. it is a day about you, and that is what one needs. one needs to know that once a year they are the most important things. it recharges one's batteries.

because no matter how life gets you down, you can always remind yourself that there are a few core people who care enough to wish me a happy birthday.
